Achieving B Corp certification has been a big moment in our sustainability journey. As Europe’s first B Corp certified egg packer, we’re really proud to have independent proof that we’re doing the right thing for people and the planet. For us, it’s all about being open and honest about the way we work - supporting our farmers, caring for our hens, looking after our team and making choices that help protect and restore the environment for future generations.

Change that Matters
We’re taking practical steps to reduce our environmental footprint across our operations. By increasing our use of renewable energy - including powering part of our business with on‑site solar panels - we’re actively reducing our reliance on conventional energy sources. In 2025, this helped us achieve a 12% reduction in energy use compared with 2024, marking meaningful progress on our journey to lower emissions and greater efficiency.
At the same time, we design all of our packaging with circularity in mind. Our egg cartons are made from FSC‑certified materials and are 100% recycled, recyclable and compostable. Printed using mineral‑oil‑free inks and assembled with starch‑based, low‑temperature adhesives, they’re sourced from our fellow B Corp partner Agile Box Ltd. - protecting your eggs while helping protect the environment too.
Planting for the Future
In February 2026, we took a major step in restoring local ecosystems at our own Gargus Farm, near Tregony. Working in partnership with Plant One Cornwall and supported by funding from Cornwall Council’s Forest for Cornwall initiative, we delivered a habitat‑creation project focused on long‑term environmental resilience. This work is about much more than planting trees - it’s about revitalising landscapes, improving soil health, supporting wildlife and creating the resilient farmland our future free‑range flocks will depend on.
During phase one, we planted 3,800 native trees, representing 25 species including willow, hornbeam, sycamore, oak, hazel, hawthorn, crab apple, rowan and blackthorn. Each tree was carefully chosen to boost biodiversity, strengthen soil structure, enhance water quality and support the natural environment that surrounds our farms.
Showing Up for Our Community
As a B Corp business, we believe our responsibility goes far beyond the farm gate. Using our platform for good, in the South West and beyond, is fundamental to who we are.
Through our partnership with FareShare South West, we help ensure that perfectly good food never goes to waste. By donating surplus and short dated eggs, we’ve redirected tonnes of nutritious food to people facing hardship, supporting hundreds of local charities and enabling thousands of meals across the region.
We’re also proud to support Pancreatic Cancer UK through sales of our Super Eggs, donating 5p from every dozen sold to fund vital research and support services. Inspired by our CEO Bex Tonks’ personal connection to the cause, this partnership has raised over £110,000 with the help of our customers.
Whether redistributing food, supporting communities or funding lifesaving research, we’re committed to creating lasting social impact - because for us, being a B Corp means being a genuine force for good.
